The NHS continues to provide the COVID-19 vaccine as protection against getting seriously ill from COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for people at increased risk from COVID-19.
You may be offered a COVID-19 vaccine if you:
- are aged 65 or over
- are pregnant
- are aged 6 months to 64 years and have an increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 because of a health condition or treatment
- live in a care home for older adults
For patients with inherited metabolic disorders, if the condition they have causes problems or risks that meet the criteria for people who may be more likely to get seriously ill from COVID-19 due to the health condition, they may be offered the vaccination.
Please refer to the NHS website for details of the vaccine programme, and how to arrange an appointment to receive it.
